I’ve tried updating the HD2000 driver, windows says is up to date; how can I fix this opengl issue?

You can try to use a CVV disk and install the game there.

I used to have similar troubles as yours. I remember struggling a lot. Minecraft is one of my favorite games; I needed this bug fixed. You can’t imagine how happy I got when those from https://minecraftforfreex.com/eaglercraft/ helped me. Eaglercraft was a Minecraft 1.5.2 Javascript port courtesy of LAX1DUDE. So, in my opinion, you should take their guides, and the problem will be solved. There are plenty of different educational explanations that might help you.

Dealing with OpenGL issues when trying to run Minecraft Java on older PCs like the i5-2400 can be a bit challenging. It’s great that you’ve already tried updating the HD2000 driver, but sometimes these issues can be quite persistent.
Since this thread is from a year ago, I hope you’ve managed to find a solution. If you’re still facing the OpenGL not supported error, you might want to explore online resources like https://modbay.net/. They often have valuable insights and solutions for various tech-related issues. Keep in mind that technology evolves, and new solutions might have emerged since this thread was active.
