Hi all, it’s been a while since I’ve been around here so hello!
As it was peeing down all weekend I decided I’d set my strat up properly – it’s a Shaftesbury (Rose Morris) one which I really like except now I’ve got the bridge saddle screws sticking out into my hand – very annoying.
I set the bridge parallel to the body so there’s just less than a semitone pull up, fretted at the 1st fret and set the bottom of the Es 1.6mm above the top of the 12th fret. Then adjusted the others using a 9.5″ radius gauge then did the intonation. All well and good apart from the height screws sticking out. Apologies as there has no doubt been tons of stuff on here about setting strats up but if someone can point me in the right direction I’d be grateful. Btw taking it on a train to Denmark St does not fill me with enthusiasm!
    Cheers (still pissing down).

Hi there! It would be the best to look for shorter grub screws. They may need to be purchased from a music equipment or any related repair shop in your city. Look for any relative info on the size of the screws on their websites. Besides, you could check if replacements parts are sold at online stores such as https://www.scrooz.com.au/. Keep in mind that it’s essential for you to use the correct screws. If this doesn’t work, you may try to grind the existing screws shorter. I hope my advice will be helpful.
